Why the date matters
“From 18 February 2027, each LMT battery, each industrial battery with a capacity greater than 2 kWh and each electric vehicle battery placed on the market or put into service shall have an electronic record (‘battery passport’).” — Article 77(1), Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 Read the Regulation on EUR-Lex.

FAQ
Is the Status Report an official certificate?
No. It is a report issued by Veripass listing each passport field, its source and your validation.
Do I need GS1 barcodes (GTIN)?
Not to start. With a GTIN we generate a GS1 Digital Link QR; without one, a Veripass identifier.
My cells come from Asia.
Veripass drafts the data request for your supplier.
Textiles and furniture?
Not mandatory yet under ESPR. Veripass currently covers batteries.
Where is my data?
Website in the United States; customer documents processed under EU Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914) and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; demo files deleted after 24 h.
